‘They have insatiable taste for women and beautiful ones at that! - Ben Bruce compares Donald Trump to Obansanjo

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce took to his Facebook page today to a lenghty piece he wrote ‘Like Trump Like Obasanjo’, where he compared US president elect Donald Trump to former President Olusegun Obasanjo. According to Senator Bruce, Donald Trump and Obasanjo who can be brash and outspoken undeniably have an insatiable taste for women and beautiful ones at that. Read his post after the cut

On the morning of Saturday the 20th of February, 2016, I was having breakfast at Eko Hotel with a friend of mine, Reno Omokri and one of the top Democratic Party strategists in the US and an argument ensued. Omokri said Trump would go all the way while the American said he was not going anywhere. I joined the conversation by saying that Trump is a phenomenon and no one knows how far he will go.
Today, I sit here writing this piece pleasantly stunned that what the mainstream media, what the establishment and what the powers that be said could never happen has happened due to this phenomenal man's belief in himself when others did not believe in hm.
I have met Donald Trump one on one before and what I clearly remember about him is that he is a White and younger version of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The two of them can be brash and outspoken but they always seem to come out on top by some sort of divine arrangement that makes whatever they do turn out for the best even if it began with controversy.
More similarities between the duo is that they both undeniably have an insatiable taste for women and beautiful ones at that!
Then again, they are both men who have succeeded in business and, even though they were political outsiders, they extended their business success to politics.
And even though there is a lot of anxiety in the Black world and especially Nigeria, I believe that a Trump Presidency would be better for Africa and Nigeria than a Hillary administration.
For one, Boko Haram are now afraid. Very afraid! This is a man that is not afraid to use the word radical Islamic terror and to declare to all who care to listen that he will be their nemesis.
Nigeria needs such a partner!
We are spending way too much of our resources on fighting terrorists. We need a big strong hand to help us fight them. A hand that will not be afraid to sell us weapons and will not make us grovel before it is willing to help us destroy our enemies who want to destroy us.
But secondly and very importantly, Nigeria is an oil producing nation and though I believe that it is what is between the ears of our people that will make this nation great, we still need foreign exchange and Hillary's plans for alternative energy was not going to see the price of oil go up anytime soon.
But Trump won in Texas because the oil industry knows that they have a friend in him, and any friend of Texas big oil is a friend of Nigeria.
Without Nigerian healthcare professionals, the US health industry would collapse overnight. Neither Trump or Hillary wanted that.
Trump's rhetoric was directed more at Mexican immigrants because of the immediate threat posed to the US by illegal immigration from Mexico.
Having said that, let me add that the last similarity between Trump and former President Obasanjo is that they both look not very intelligent, but their looks betray their vast knowledge and deep wisdom. You meet them and size them up by their looks and end up underestimating them.
But when they reach into their reptilian brain and come out with strategies it becomes too late to do what you should have done.
I am glad that Trump won and I cannot wait to see how he will change the world positively.
But one thing is clear, any politician who underestimates the role of social media in the battle to win the hearts and minds of the people is a politician that is going the way of the dinosaurs.
Social media and particularly Twitter was the weapon Trump used to fight the mainstream media. Social media is the ultimate form of democracy in that it gives the underdog a vehicle to amplify his or her voice against a biased media that wants to suppress it.

Abakaliki prison: Inside Nigeria’s most dilapidated, dehumanising jail

http://naijadopenewz.blogspot.com/
For the past, the Federal Prisons, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, played host to many heavyweight politicians, prominent among them being the late Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, elder brother of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
Then, nobody knew that being incarcerated in Abakaliki Prison was one of the greatest punishments one could get, until recently when the inmates took the law into their hands to force the iron bars open to regain their freedom.
During the jailbreak that occurred on August 8, 2016, many lives were lost and scores were injured.
The incident exposed the dehumanising conditions in which the inmates served time in the prison.
The prison in Abakaliki was established in 1946 to hold a maximum of 387 inmates, but today over 1,000 inmates are crammed in the facility, making it a congested and volatile facility where the condition of the inmates is pathetic and miserable.
Located in the heart of the capital city, a short distance away from Government House, Abakaliki, the state police headquarters and the Federal Teaching Hospital, the condition of the inmates in the prison depicts a death sentence before an actual death sentence, for those who survive to tell their story.
Recently, when the special team from the National Human Rights Commission, (NHRC), led by Executive Secretary, Prof. Ben Angwe, visited the prison, most of the inmates were awaiting trial with the majority of them being mentally sick, under-aged and even innocent children who should be in school.
The cells are not only inadequate to accommodate the inmates but a large part of the structure was built with mud which has given rise to various health problems among the inmates.
The only building built with cement or modern materials was the security fence that was meant to prevent jailbreaks and keep the prisoners inside.
Other areas that depict decay and neglect are the septic tanks and soak-away pits, which have become death trapsm with some of them on the verge of collapse.
The pits, which were covered with concrete slabs, were constructed at strategic spots in the prison yard, making it a must for one to walk over them to get to the other side of the prison.
Oriental News gathered that over 811 inmates in Abakaliki prison are awaiting trial, while about 200 have been convicted.
Among the inmates awaiting trial was a woman who made the headlines recently because it was revealed that she was accused of stealing cocoyam worth N400.
She has been there for a very long time with her two children.
Though Governor David Umahi, through the advocacy of the NHRC has ordered the release of the woman, some other inmates who were not as lucky are still languishing in the jail over minor offenses.
In the case of Abakaliki prison, according to Angwe, a worrisome favtor was the stringent bail conditions given by magistrates in the state for various minor offences, such as the magistrate who gave the woman who accused of stealing cocoyam bail conditions that included two sureties on Grade Level 16; he wondered where a woman who could be tempted to steal N400 worth of cocoyam could get such person from.
Angwe, leading the delegation from the NHRC on a courtesy call to Umahi at Government House after inspecting the prison, disclosed that more than 15 inmates awaiting trial in the prison were now insane and require urgent medical attention.
“Two weeks back, when I led a team of the commission on an assessment of the situation in the Abakaliki prisons, we found very a pathetic situation. The situation was that the inmates awaiting trial are more than 80 per cent and that has been the situation for years.
“Sadly, if you enter any of the prison cells, you find out that the inmates have nowhere to sit, lay or squat. In the night, they take turns to sleep; some of them sleep for two hours and they are woken-up for other inmates to sleep. So many cases there are very pathetic.
“We saw a woman with two children in the prison. She was accused of stealing cocoyam of N400. They refused to grant her bail. They made difficult the bail condition for her that required two sureties who are on Level 16 in the civil service. You can imagine somebody who was accused of stealing N400 worth of cocoyam, what access will she have to a Level 16 official of government?
“There were some other women there with children who have this kind of pathetic conditions. There is an old man who has been there for 11 years without trail and if the person is discharged, what amount of compensation will be adequate for someone who has been there for 11 years without trial?
“There are more than 15 persons there who are mentally sick. These are our brothers who require medical attention and they are there. Something urgent must be done to save their conditions”, he said.
Responding, Umahi regretted that the prisons service authorities have not paid attention to his letters on the need to rehabilitate the facility.
He said if after seven days the authorities refused to do something, the state government would be forced to embark on construction of a befitting prison for the inmates and directed the Commissioner for Lands and Survey to immediately commence the process of re-constructing the prison.
Umahi noted that the bad condition of the prisons contributed to the inmates becoming mentally deranged, adding that the inmates were mentally sound before coming to the prisons where they  developed the mental illness, describing the prisons as not habitable.
The Ebonyi State Comptroller of the prisons, Mrs Emilia Oputa said that lack of adequate staff was threatening the prisons, noting that “we don’t have enough staff but we have collapsed shift. We used to have three shifts; we have morning, afternoon and night, but we have made it to be two so as to manage the inmates very well.”

SHOCKER!! Mother & Daughter Fight over Rich Lover in Abuja

If a mother is not decent in her lifestyle, how can her daughter be decent? What would make a mother and her daughter, in their right senses, engage each other in a serious fight over a married man?

That is the question that has been begging for answers after the mother and her daughter decided to fight it out in the streets when they found out that the rich man was sleeping with both of them.

According to Pulse's source, who witnessed the show of shame in Nyanya area of Abuja, the woman who is a single parent of four, hails from the Eastern part of Nigeria and runs a beer palour in the area while her daughter is said to be a student in a university in nearby Nasarawa State.

The eyewitness said, "It was a sight to behold as the woman who is in her late 40s, engaged her daughter who cannot be more than 22, in a serious fight in her beer palour. They fought so bitterly that the fight spilled outside, drawing a large crowd of onlookers.

"They tore their clothes and were only left with underwear. We later gathered that they were fighting over a man who has been secretly dating the two of them; imagine sleeping with both mother and daughter.

"When we were able to calm them down, we asked what led to the fight but the mother was silent until the daughter opened up that her mum snatched her rich lover who has been sponsoring her in school.

"At that point, the mother also opened up, saying it was actually the daughter that snatched the man from her, saying she had been dating him for over five years and the man only started sleeping with her 'big eye' daughter some months back. It was really a shameful thing to behold."

THE FACTS | Why Most Men don’t Forgive their Cheating Wife

A married man might be hearing dirty things about his wife and will keep calm, but the day he catches her in the act, one way or the other, everything changes.

In her lone moments, 38yrs old Kolawole Busola, (real name withheld) would certainly wish she could undo the string of events that led her into the waiting arms of a bad guy Daniels, a colleague at work.

Married to a businessman, Babatope, 43, who travels frequently without much time for romance for their love and intimacy to grow, Busola still has herself to blame for what she has got herself into.

How did she land in bed with the guy? Her undoing was sharing her worries with a male colleague who she thought would offered wise counsel but he saw her as opportunity for free s*x. They became close and started going out together. She did it so well that her husband never suspected anything.

Not long after, their friendship became platonic (intimate and affectionate) and few months after, they ended up in bed, having s*x. They did that more than once, and it became a routine to the extent that her husband suspected and started monitoring her, discreetly.

Eventually, Babatope found out that his wife had been sleeping with another man the day he picked his wife’s phone and saw her text messages. According to him, that was the end. Not even pleas and admonitions by family members and friends could convince him to shelve his plan to send her away.

They would have celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary two weeks ago, like they did when it was 10 years, but that celebration was the last thing on their mind that day. Their marriage was already on a fast lane to hit the rocks since the day he found out about his wife’s infidelity.

The union that many admired, on its face value perhaps because they are rich, is getting worse by the day, and not even the pleas and explanations that Busola is dying to offer would make any difference.

Furious Babatope has made up his mind on sending her out of the house, because according to him, the sin committed by his wife was unforgiveable. He had told her, “I can forgive and overlook anything, but not infidelity from my wife. I can never forgive that. So, she has to go.”

Meanwhile, Busola recalled that she had also caught him chatting a lady before and she had to forgive him and that they resolved it after her husband offered some explanation. She started claiming right that now it's her turn, she can't reconcile herself with the fact that her loving husband couldn't forgive her.

The union is blessed with three children; two boys and a girl, but that does not seem like a sufficient reason for him to halt his decision to send her out of his life for good to go be with her play boy lover.

The Intervention
Truly, the thought of a cheating wife can be unsettling. Also, Busola’s experience is not strange; it is in fact the reality for some women. Even though men have always been seen to have more than one woman in our culture, these days some women want to compete with their husband on that, secretly though.

Understandably and for good reasons, a wife's infidelity in marriage is unacceptable, and it has previously been identified as one of the most common reasons for failed marriages.

This might sound unfair to the females, but that seems to be the case in many parts of the world.

Why is it that men find it difficult to forgive their partners if caught cheating?
According to a British Psychotherapist, Philip Hodson, men often find it more difficult to forgive such for the fact that it affects their masculinity, and to them, it might signal the end of the relationship.

Hodson, who is also a Fellow of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, said, “Men find it much harder to forgive their partners for cheating. For a betrayed woman, an affair by the man is an offence against her dignity, but for a betrayed man, a woman’s infidelity is an offence against his manhood. It goes right to the core of his identity.”
